From April to the end of October, take a seat on the Train Rouge to discover the Agly valley.
The train will be departing in a few moments! The journey from Rivesaltes to Estagel, passing through the villages of Espira-de-l'Agly and Cases-de-Pène, is 16 km long and takes around 36 minutes. With cruising speeds of no more than 30 km/h, you can enjoy the vineyard scenery and the commentary provided by the hostess. Take photos at every stop!

For young and old alike, the Train Rouge offers an incomparable way to discover the Agly!
If you're with the family and want to take your time, why not embark on a 35km guided tour of the vineyards from Rivesaltes to Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet.
You're in Espira-de-l'Agly and feel like taking a little cycling trip with your friends: hop on the train with your bikes (at no extra charge) to Estagel, then take a leisurely 13 km descent via Cases-de-Pène.

The Red Train is more than just a means of transport: it's also a different way of discovering villages and their heritage:
Rivesaltes and the church of Saint-André, home to the Baroque altarpiece of Notre-Dame du Rosaire and its splendid Salomon columns.
- Espira-de-l'Agly, where the church of Sainte-Marie, a pure jewel of Romanesque art, is a listed historic monument.
- Cases-de-Pène and its heritage trail (the Ninet, the civil bell tower...).
- Estagel, to visit the Church of Saint-Etienne and the site of the Saint-Vincent chapel with its low walls.

Plan a trip aboard the Train Rouge in spring, summer or autumn (bookings for groups in winter). You'll travel 60 km up the Agly valley from Rivesaltes to the upper Aude valley at Axat. You can also stop off at Espira-de-l'Agly, Cases-de-Pène or Estagel.
There are plenty of opportunities for you to take advantage of our village activities, visit a wine cellar, go hiking or fishing.
